Clove Bud essential oil is extracted from the flowering buds of the clove tree using steam distillation. The oils extracted from the buds of the clove tree are usually favored over the leaves or stems due to its aroma. Please keep in mind that Clove essential oils are very potent and should always be diluted. Clove Bud essential oil is very strong, so when using it for the first time in a blend, use it sparingly. With a golden yellow color, it has a very strong aroma that is spicy and a bit woody.
